today peter arrived on site to finalize the bathroom. everything went fine, expect for one of the “designer toilets”… the installation procedure of this original duravit model really sucks completely. so this stealed a lot of time. the highlight surely had been the spacy wall heating.

also telco folks arrived during midday and installed TAE. luckily my internet won’t be that slow as predicted. it’s actually quite fast (9 mbit, instead of predicted 2 to 3 mbit).

last but not least the chimney officially says “hello again!” …

moi, i had been on site this thursday already at 7 a.m. as tube density test had been scheduled for today.

next job was to finish the front door from outside. unfortunately the weather changed on that day. we had been very windy and rainy. as wind cam from east, it directly hit the front door area why it was absolutely calm on the other side of house near kitchen (special plusvilla design feature?). however, germans won’t give up. i started with installing the stepping board panel. to my surprise all things fit perfectly and so i didn’t had to saw too much. next was installing some more smaller elements to hide the ugly dark wood colour of the basic door.

terve, today painter had been in house to finish the bathroom. on tuesday i tweaked the small bugs in the walls. i also installed frames on the corners of window etc. … to ensure the corners are protected against any possible hits. i did this the first time and from perspective of the boss of my heating company, i did well. unfortunately from perspective of the painter i sucked. anyhow… he needed to do some more tweaks and by the end of the day things looked in a stylish light grey (which almost look a bid blueish or lilac, depending on the sunlight).

terve, todays task was to install the frames on doors plus ceiling bars and floor bars… so actually everything you could call “slow detail work”. the weather had been absolutely beautiful today. it wasn’t too warm, but we had much sun.

but suddenly …

… during afternoon there was an unbelieveable moment.

yesterday i had already seen a free red milan, who is that guy here. he passed the plusvilla almost only 2 meters on top of the roof when i was sorting some wood below the house. he didn’t carry any leather straps, so i assumed it must have been a free one.

well…today this guy came back. when i was standing on the ladder installing a ceiling bar near the side terrassi directly at the big sliding door i suddenly heard the typical eagle screaming and then i could see a very (believe me very!) big shadow beside the plusvilla. then suddenly this bird flew - believe it or not - below our roof from the entrance through our terrassi about 1 meter high on top of the floor, passing the terrassi, turning right near the blue trash box, finally leaving the plusvilla.

i assume we need no dog for house protection now … as we have our own bird of prey.

we used black coloured material to fill the spaces between the gaps. the main reason had been to make things look a bid more harmonic and smooth. don’t be afraid… the room doesn’t look that dark as it might appear on the photo.

until the next day things had already proceeded again …

tiling work continued. as you can see today the floor had been made and washing table already looks almost finished.

finally the floor in the living room has been finished.

todays job had been to close the floor in the living room as far as possible. due to a fault of mine we needed to wait until peter came back to the site (as i’ve hit a copper tube with one of the screws almost perfectly two weeks ago).

parallel tiling work continued by inserting the pavement to the shower area.

here you can see the bathroom wall with the first tiles on it… and finally how it looked by the end of the day. also the washing table became its first tiles. after thinking about it for a while i decided to miter the tiles instead of using any jolly bars.

here you can see that door and window in sleeping room also got their frames already. also i decided to misuse the window protectors as floor bars, as this fits better to plusvilla design (at least i hope it does).
